Since its founding in 1940 as a small 12-room hospital, The Behman has been extensively renovated, extended, and improved. Additional buildings have been constructed to meet growing demand and the grounds upgraded to provide the sort of serene and lush environment that supports optimal recovery. Today, the hospital boasts 250 patient beds spread out over a series of low-rise buildings nestled in spacious and tranquil gardens. Patients are accommodated on wards that are most appropriate to their condition on admission and can experience transitions along their therapeutic journeys.
