Assessment and Report Writing Training Program

The following training program has been developed, in order to fulfil the needs and requirements of Psychology Graduates, who desire working in the field of clinical mental health. Specifically focusing on conducting psychometric assessments, scoring procedures and reporting on psychological findings on the more commonly utilized assessment tools. It is delivered by experienced psychology department staff and includes ongoing monitoring and supervision. Letter of completion is provided upon conclusion of training.

Duration of training: 8 weeks                                     Attendance: 1-2 days per week

Fees of training: 18,000 LE for 8 weeks                      *Exact days determined at beginning Method of payment: Cash or Credit Card on site

Program:

Week 1: Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory 2 (MMPI-2)

A psychological assessment tool used to assist in identifying personality structure and psychopathology

 

  • Administration, scoring and reporting (5 hours)

Week 2: Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-III (MCMI-III)

A psychological assessment tool which provides a measure of 24 personality disorders and clinical syndromes

  • Administration, scoring and reporting (4 hours)

Weeks 3 & 4: Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales, Fifth Edition (SB-5) Individually administered assessment of intelligence and cognitive abilities.

  • Administration and reporting (7 hours)

Week 5: Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAM-D) & Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HARS) Psychometric assessment tools, administered by health care professionals, rating the severity of depression and anxiety in individuals.

Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) & Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI)

Self-administered Psychometric assessment tools, rating the severity of depression and anxiety in individuals

Week  5 (cont.): The Borderline Personality Questionnaire (BPQ)

An 80-item self-report measure that assesses borderline personality traits as defined by DSM-IV criteria

Trauma Symptom Checklist- 40 (TSC-40)

The TSC-40 is a 40-item self-report measure of symptomatic distress in adults arising from childhood or adult traumatic experiences. It measures aspects of posttraumatic stress as well as other symptoms found in some traumatized individuals.

The Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (YBOCS-II)

A scale which measures obsessions separately from compulsions, specifically measures the severity of symptoms of obsessive–compulsive disorder

  • Administration, scoring and reporting (6 hours)

Week 6: Addenbrook’s Cognitive Examination (ACE-R)

A brief neuropsychological assessment of cognitive functions and a development on the Mini–mental state examination, which it incorporates. The test is widely used for determining mild cognitive impairment and dementia. The test includes measures of language, memory, visuospatial skills, and orientation.

Week 7: Gilliam Autism Rating Scale (GARS)

A screening instrument used for the assessment of individuals ages 3 through 22, who have severe behavioral problems that may be indicative of autism

Week 8: Conners’ Adult ADHD Rating Scales–Self-Report: Long Version (CAARS–S:L)

The Conners’ Adult ADHD Rating Scales–Self Report: Long Version (CAARS–S:L) is an assessment that prompts an adult to provide valuable information about themselves. This instrument is helpful when considering a diagnosis of ADHD or related problems.

Administration, scoring and reporting (3 hours).

Week 9: Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory IV (MCMI-IV)

The most recent edition of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory. The MCMI is a psychological assessment tool intended to provide information on personality traits and psychopathology, including specific mental disorders outlined in the DSM-5. Remotely administrated with an interpretive report.
